Shearer Chaos: Regency Ball 2015

So the previous adventure that we had was the Regency Ball in March. It was Jaden's first one and Justin and I got to chaperone/dance. Both Janika and Jaden had their dance cards filled within the first 5 minutes and then had a ball dancing the night away! I had to make a few adjustments to her dress but not too bad and I made Justin and Jaden vests and bowties (which turned out to be a lot more work than I expected!) so they could feel fancy without getting too hot :) Everybody had a great time and it was fun to see all the smiles and watch the flirtation fest! Unfortunately, I was only able to get pics of the grand march and the last posties dance because during the rest I was dancing with my dashing husband but you have to give and take a little right? The Grand March worked itself into one ginormous snail with everyone weaving in and out of everyone else. It was fun seeing all the fancy dresses!

Grand March ended with each couple being presented to the Stake President, bowing and then taking their place on the floor.

Something tells me that the Stake President might make Alex a little nervous or maybe it's just Janika holding his hand that does it :)

Ah yes.....a little more relaxed now that there is food in his hand!

This one is Posties - the favorite among the kids but also the one where we have witnessed the most girls get thrown on their bums with over -enthusiastic spins. Luckily Janika had Tyler who was an old pro. Ain't they cute!!!
