Special Olympics

Yes I am on a roll and trying to get some of our fun life adventures up here before I forget all about them!  The week before Sheridan's prom, we went to Special Olympics for Austin in Sheridan.  He competed in basketball skills, freestyle swimming, and backstroke.  I took a few of my babysitting kids and we had a good time watching all the kids do their thing!

This was our Gillette Team.  Most of them did basketball games but he and a couple of others did basketball skills.

Austin's cheerleaders -Cadie, Trafford, and Bryson.  They were so cute and did so good for a really long day!

Swoosh!

He earned a gold medal in basketball skills doing dribbling, passing and shooting.  It was so fun to see his enthusiasm and he LOVED the cheerleaders that performed here and there throughout the day :)

Day 2 was swimming.  He loved it!

Take a big breath Austin!   There's a reason why he belches like a champ after every race!

He took the silver in both of his swimming competitions. This is one proud boy and one proud mama in the audience!

More powerful than a locomotive and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound...check out all those metals!

His new best friend that he met that day!  She gave him a ride to Sheridan because I had to leave a little later and didn't want him to miss the check in.
